The Southern Belle Mansion is a ten bedroom/twelve bath restored Victorian southern mansion listed top ten in E. TN. This home has 18,000 sq. ft. of living space. Originally a family home and an 1870's tobacco plantation, this historic mansion is now a leading attraction. It has secret doors and hidden passage ways. The Southern Belle sits atop a prime piece of real estate in White Pine, TN surrounded on three sides by the French Broad & Nolichucky Rivers; this 125 acre estate is 360 degrees of unobstructed paradise. Herds of deer, flocks of Canada geese, and soaring eagles are year-round companions to visitors to this premier East Tennessee mansion.

The Southern Belle is a display of wealth and decadence that was almost completely funded by money earned by real-estate in the Disney/Orlando, Florida area. Over half a million dollars in antiques, from the 1600's on, find their home at the Southern Belle. Over thirty-five Swavoriski Austrian Crystal chandeliers light this home worthy of "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous."

Collection of fine crystal and exotic curios are found on all three levels of this mansion/museum. The southern Belle Mansion features materials and craftsmanship from around the world, examples include: rare Italian marble floors, hearths, and mantles. Oak and mahogany are the stuff that twenty-five antique fireplace mantles are made of, in this real life castle.

A handful local craftsman gave their finest efforts in the construction of this landmark mansion. Directed and inspired by the dream of one woman. Her builders/Rembrandts breathed life in the form of: hand carved oak trim, hand crafted cabinetry an twenty-four carat gold inlay in each of the bedroom hearths. Our own, Chuck Ottolini, left his mark on the Belle with stained-glass over head lighting and inlayed kitchen cabinets.

Cooled by a state-of-the-art subterranean climate control system the Belle keeps the summer sun a bay, while a 1600 sq. ft. sun room/relaxation area includes a hot tub, a hammock and wicker swings. For the eclectic, there is a 300 sq. ft. sewing/craft area. Likewise, the game room features an authentic one arm bandit, modern game systems on flat screen TV, foosball, air hockey, pin ball, and video arcade games. one of the Bell's rooms is bound to suit your interests.

In bedrooms as large as 1000 sq. ft. the Southern Belle offers one-half and full tester beds from the 1800's to the turn of the century. Towering eight ft. high bead boards made of burled walnut, mahogany, and cherry are in each of the ten bedrooms accented by matching dressers. The lady of the house is indulged with ultra large walk-in closets to house and display forms of feminine fashion, from hundreds of shoes to thousand dollar formal wear.

After a meal prepared in the ultra-modern kitchen with pop/out gadgetry we climb majestic oak stairs to lounge at three separate verandas sporting a 360 degree view of prime fishing, orchards, a 1800's tobacco barn, and historical Indian sites chocked with artifacts, proving any hike on the estate is memorable. Swimming is a splash in there 9 1/2 ft. deep swimming pool with diving board & slide.

Fast-forward to the present, the Southern Belle means luxury accommodations (B&B or our guest cottage).
